Important Update

Dear Readers,

This post is to inform you that, publishing news paper articles and extracts in the means of complete text coverage or providing a link to the same is not appropriate. This also qualifies for copyright infringement of the original news providers. Hence I have removed all the posts and comments which had such violation.

Going forward, any of your comment with such information will be deleted on this blog. If you have anything to say with respect to any post, let it be genuine or a creation of your own. Copied material will be strictly prohibited with immediate effect.

Thanks for understanding.

Shrinidhi , Harsh, Siddharth, Chintan

Most of the comments are on those three articles and all the unique comments are still available. However, some of the offending or objectionable content has been removed to avoid duplicates.

Lets get over this guys.. I don’t want to waste my time writing about this topic anymore as it is already in the limelight of media eyes. Let the legal proceedings take its importance and hope the innocent people’s hard earned money doesn’t get lost. Lets cut this short and no more talks on this blog about that topic :)

There’re hardly 3 posts under the tag questnet now… You’ve deleted Sidharths post any many more posts which had no reasons to get deleted…

Any comments?

^^I second that. We have some very very valuable arguments lost due to this action. I hope you can revive it somehow and incorporate the suggestions of others here.

Yes. May be what you can do is post a summary of all those news updates with links.

Hope you have a back up of the comments in your mailbox or in wordpress-may be you can include comments discussed so far in the post itself.

A sudden deletion of the important posts &comments without consulting your readers will be extremely disappointing to everyone…

Its saddening that you have removed the GoldQuest related articles and comments. The initiative of yours have really have helped a lot of people from getting conned. Please start the same. And regarding the Copyright violation, you can simple give the links and initiate the discussion.

but most of the comments were genuine and not copied… Interpretation and analysis of a news doesn’t constitute a violation of IPR

@Ezhil

I understand what you are saying. Like i have commented above I would like to encourage genuine thoughts rather than copying content from somewhere and dumping it on my blog.

@Sunil

I am sorry to say this, but you interpreted it wrong. That was the headlines in the links I had quoted, which by no means is my own creation!

its good that you have taken this step becauase , it was not limited to quoting from some source, you came up with some very absurd interpretations,…ex. qi – disowns questnet india. it was high time your blog sobbered a bit.

“This also qualifies for copyright infringement of the original news providers. Hence I have removed all the posts and comments which had such violation.”

i think it was really not necessary as 80% of information you find on net is somewhere copied or being copied :0

Most of the links were authentic- the TOI and Hindu ones…

Yes, few sites which said QI has said Questnet India is not its company were kind of unverified news.

A disclaimer to this effect would have been suffecient…

Well, I understand what you guys are saying. However, the issue is that – we dont’ know the validity of that link and hence republishing / pointing to such a news causes un-necessary confusion and hence the panic among readers. Hence I have removed them. You guys agree with me or not?

Yes I agree with Enidhi. We have lost a lot of comments.
You should’nt have done that .
It is not a copyright infringement to quote a link and to quote your source of information.

Quoting the main story, mentioning the source with link should be fine… You should have deleted only the article and retained the title, link and comments. We lost lots of valid comments and discussions…
