Sindbad at EGL Pyramid food court

Friday lunch outside office has been a kind of routine. Today we chose Sindbad restaurant at pyramid food court in EGL campus for a buffet lunch. Around 12 noon team members gathered at my desk to decide on the venue. Since all were reluctant to travel to a distant restaurant, I suggested Sindbad which very next to our office premises. All agreed for my proposal and we were in the restaurant by 12:20pm. Just by then Sindbad folks had set the premises to welcome its customers. We were just seven people and started off with mulligatawny soup. sindbad_egl_pyriamid_food_courtI was tasting this soup for the first time. Though I didn’t like it much at the beginning, mulligatawny tasted really good as the bowl was getting empty.

Starters were good too with a good variety for both vegetarians and non-vegitarians. One shouldn’t miss papdi chat at Sindbad. The main course too had a good number of options for veggies unlike many of the restaurants in surrounding localities. Non, kulcha, rice items including biryani, noodles, matching currys and tasty rasam were included in the menu. I have to mention about the curd rice they had prepared today. It was too tasty and I would suggest you not to miss when you get there next time. Mango flavoured ice cream, pastries and Rasgulla sweet made up the desserts menu.

Food was tasty, hygienic environment and a friendly atmosphere was evident at Sindbad too. Buffet lunch price is around Rs 270/- per head including tax. Value for money is certain as there was no compromise on food taste. Way to go Sindbad…

@Akshad – yes, it is a pretty common thing to serve water with mint and lemon in most of the restaurants in bangalore!

@Sujata – It is inside the EGL campus off Koramangala-indiranagar Intermediate ring road. To be more specific, it is on the first floor of new Pyramid food court.

Good review for great venue.
Another highlight of the place is the lime and mint flavored water that they serve that acts as an excellent complement to the food.
