Sun Direct DTH add on recharge

Recharging and subscribing for add-on packages on Sun Direct DTH has come through a long way. Since I bought Sun Direct almost an year back, for add on packages I have been using their phone service and it wasn’t so convenient. More over it was time consuming in addition to a kind of painful n traditional recharge process. sun-direct-dthNow that Sun Direct has introduced mobile recharge and add on subscription services, it is fairly the best among the other existing DTH service providers in India.

Soon after recharging through their website, an OSD confirmation was on my TV in no time! I decided to test out their mobile platform too. Selected one of the package as add-on and sent a message in the appropriate format through my mobile. In next 30 seconds, I got the confirmation about the service activation. Within next 5 minutes, my subscription was accessible! Viola… great service. I am so glad that the human intervention has been isolated completely for recharge and add-on packages activation.

I still have a couple of concerns and hope Sun Direct listens to them and fixes these two as well.
1. Forgot password reset workflow needs to be re-visted and should be made simpler.
2. There should be a mechanism to de-activate an add-on package through online and mobile modes.

The quality of video and audio using MPEG-4 has certainly been good so far and I may try out Sun Direct’s HDTV services provided their prices come down to earth from sky. Currently HDTV prices are damn too high.. around 12K for the instrument and service to start with. It is not my cup of tea as of now :)

    I want add on english news channels of Rs 20/ p.m pack. In spite of having waited for hours . No sales executive was sighted for connecting add on english channels of 3 for RS 20/ pack per month. How long one has to wait?

    i recharged my sundirect account three months back. Around 5th dec i got notice from sundirect that your subscription is goin to be finish, kindly recharge in 5 days. but i did not recharged and shockingly my tv is still coming without any notice.
    how is it possible or there is sum hidden offers behind it ???

    My smart card no. Is 41281270094 .I have topped up my sundirect dth subscription for 10 months this morning. The amount has been credited correctly.The renewal is meant for the period from 12th April onwards when my last subscription expires whereas the subscription has been renewed from 5 th April onwards ,the date of my payment.This is not correct.When TataSky subscription was renewed earlier the subscription was adjusted from the date of expiry of the earlier subscription and not repeat not from the date of payment.Please look into the matter and rectify the discrepancy and adjust my subscription from 12 th April onwards.

    many times I tried to recharge my sun dth through sbi net banking. but at the end it shows bank name is NA. SO WHAT IS THE SOLUTION

    i tried recharging thro netbanking and immediately my money got debited from my account to sundirect dth. but even after 12 hrs, the services r not yet activated. the customer care no. is of no use. i have no idea how long i have to wait for activation of services. my advice to customers is tat pls dont go for online recharge.

    I have a big concern on sun dth service. they dont accept pone to recharge the newly added diwali offer. and even customer care also not responding properly.

    i can say Sun DTH is one of the fraud service in the India.

    i never recommend it for anyone else.

  13. sun direct has not good provider they do not get full advice nat time consumer ask their recharge centre also no supportive as supportive as tata sky dish tv because to communicator are but company form company leads dose not get consumer point of view every time channel go tv channel dose no quickly repairs if any then problem not resoled in time recharge in time then all time ask call customer my recharge is not done yet. it some type problem done to this dish every time.

  15. smartcard failure! this error is persisting for last one month. on booking complaint, it working for a few hours and then same problem for last one month.

    Let me know how to check my status or due date, Because I can’t enter in login at customer self care service with normal procedure that you were given as sample. May be my card has blocked by someone. Help me please. I was cheated by some dealers by way of recharging. Therefor, I would like to know my status of card after recharged.

    damn it. hopeless service. 4 hours are spent to get sports add on service. The Cusomer care no. is completely blocked. Mr.Management of sun network, more than earning money, earn customers’ goodwill. its disgusting to see that your organization does not care for Customer satifaction.

    This is regarding the sun direct customer care response to their customers. I had some problem regarding balance shown against my account. Of late I am glad to inform that I got definitely positive responses to all my requests from sun direct.In fact they rectified the defects in my account and I got responses to all my emails and customer care contacts. This is really a good sign from sun direct and I hope this trend will continue and place the operator in a better plane so that the customers will definitely get a better deal from them.

      Really I got completely disgusted with Sundirect Dth Service. Since Sun direct advertised in TV that if existing customer pays subscription for 1 year they are entitled to get Sports channels for World cup and IPL free showing.Accordingly I paid Rs 1310 as 1 year subscription. My subscription has been accepted for 1 year for Tamil Channel package up to 12.3.2012. But unfortunately the so called Free channels proposed have not been activated. Since morning contacted customer care 4 times but every time they promised to activate the channels but of no avail. Further to my agony customer care have charged for the free channels offered and deducted the amount from my account.That means that they have charged twice for not showing the channels.Is it not atrocious? i do not know what to do and how to get back the money overcharged?

      Is there any other higher authorities who can solve the problem to whom we can take our grievance for readdress

      Sundirect dth service abruptly remove the channels of their will without assigning any reason whatsoever although they originally provided these channels at the time of installation.For instance they deleted NDTV24/7 and NDTV from my plan without any notice.

    AS per your directions to upgrade the interrupted service I reported it to your authorised Dealer Sweta Enterprises Palampur and also to the authorised dealer at Jogindernagar (HP).

    But they refused to send technician as it is not provided to them by the company.

    I fristly sent on E.mail to you. After then registered complain.but NO response. After then again registered complain this is our complain No SUN 65339. Sir their is no written about to conect by telephone. I think sir all the authority witch are working under your command are sleeping. I Don’t Know what is your policy and how did you working. Very sorry to say and write these word.

    Last time I could successfully topped up my subscription and activated
    add on packages in sundirect dth.But unfortunately when I tried to top
    up my subscription on my debit card I could not succeed in spite of
    number of times.Even the lower denomination vouchers are not
    available.Really it is very disgusting when such a big channel which
    is boasting so much on ads are not able to set things properly even
    after so many years.I do not experiencing such difficulties in TATA
    Sky.
    Could the authorities look into the matter and set things right.

  30. Sun direct DTH, the worse service ever faced. For the past two months none of the service is working and the customer service keep on telling the same stories satellite issue, satellite is down etc etc.

    Really don’t even dare to think about taking SUN Direct … the worst service … better go for any other service in the industry it will be far far better than this …

    I got my channels reduced daily in sundirect, i called customer service several times but got depressed the way they answered. They said they will send a fellow to adjust my dish to the new satellite, but till now no one came. I believe there is some satellite problem in sundirect. Not all the add on channels are coming frequently. Finally i switched to local cable channel where i get isaiaruvi, zee tamil, captain, disney channel so on….
    I strongly recommend not to buy sundirect, because of worst service.
