Creative professionals across the globe are facing a number of challenges. These challenges are very dynamic in nature as every professional seeks to explore the latest technologies to simplify their tasks. Especially for the people in media related professions, the needs are highly demanding to capture, create, manipulate and share in the least possible time. To address such professionals, Apple India is organizing an event through their Pro-Series called ‘Joined-Up-Thinking’.
The Joined-Up-Thinking events will be held at various locations across India, such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi on 12th, 13th, 17th and 19th March 2009 respectively. These events include hands-on demonstrations on workflows delivering content across different media. Aim of these events is to demonstrate media professionals on how to meet the challenges of converging media through the latest creative tools for the Mac platform. To find out more about Apple’s innovative professional software and discover how the Mac’s unparalleled hardware/software integration provides a unique environment to help those professionals to create and deliver content for print, web, DVD, broadcast and podcast.

Looks like that is the agenda. However, the take away form this meeting would be to know the various tools that simplify the tasks of a Musician, photographer, video manipulation etc., Check out the mentioned site for more info.

Does this include showcasing apple products for folks in media? If so, I think 1 day session is n’t of much help. May be they should try to either have a longer sessions targeting each stream at one shot or spread over the sessions for various categories differently so that people get to participate in the session of their choice.
May be I am too acquainted with barcamp concept here.
