I should write about the special way the Pizza Hut folks celebrate their customers Birthdays. Its not my birthday, but there were a couple of colleagues [Aakash, Kannan and Nitin] who had their birthdays in the past week. Our team decided to have a combined celebration of their birthdays at a Pizza Hut outlet near Airport road. By lunch time, we quickly picked up a cake from Barista in office cafeteria counter and headed to Pizza Hut which is at a walkable distance from office premises. By the time we reached there, we just told the staff over there about our head count and they quickly re-arranged the tables to make all of us to sit as one group. While placing the order, we told them that we wish to celebrate the birthday of our colleagues by cutting the cake that we have bought. Thats it… rest all was taken care by Pizza Hut guys. All of them quickly assembled near our table and made all the birthday boys to stand up on chairs. Thats when we got to know that they celebrate their customers birthday’s in their own special way!
Our cake was having the lighted candles on it, which we hadn’t got for sure! All these birthday babies are asked to blow off the candles from a distance and they had to put a collective team effort to accomplish the same. Once they were done with blowing off the candles, entire crew members started to sing the ‘Rock You’ song with their own beats by tapping their feet against the ground and clapping with their hands at the same time was mind blowing. The complete premises was sounding great and I am sure the Birthday Boys enjoyed this special way of wishing. Atleast I had not witnessed the Pizza Hut way of celebrating birthdays. What ever may be the reason, Pizza hut folks made our day with their act apart from the regular serving of pizzas! Three cheers to you Pizza Hut.

I realised that too late Mohan. I had grown too big by the time I realised that 😉 Now, I’m on the wieght-loss path and its difficult 🙁

Hi Siddharth, there isn’t much to get surprised… I hardly like pizzas 😉 and hence I wasn’t aware of this special bash! One more thing might be that, I am too over cautious about the hefty amount of calories that come free of cost with those pizzas 😉

Hey Mohan….’m quite surprised u did not know abt this from before….pizza hut staff have been celebrating the b’days of their customers like this for sever years as far as I can recollect…. Anyways that doesn’t matter to me..what draws back there again & again is the…..yummy Exotica and Pasta mint salad! 😀
