I was in search of a Photo printing studio a couple of days back. I wanted get a couple of photos to be printed from a CD to assist my nephew to complete his school assignment. Topic for that assignment was ‘My Family’ and his teacher had asked kids to write a small paragraph with a photo attached to that. This kind of creative teaching is what I am impressed about in the modern education methodology adapted in schools.
In the process getting a photo print from a soft copy, I was looking at the nearby cyber cafe’s. I remembered that the internet cafe’s were offering digital printing services. Hence checked out in a couple of places with no success. Alas I came across RK Foto Studio near Banashankari BigBazaar. The service offered by them was good with least possible time. In less than 10 minutes, he was able to get me the glossy prints. However, only drawback according to me is that they take the print orders for a minimum of ten prints. It could be the same image or different images, one should order for a minimum of 10 prints. They have facility to accept images through various media like a USB pen drive, CD, DVD, Mobile Camera, SC cards etc., The cost is Rs.4/- for a 4×6 sized print. If the prints are more than 20, you can get the prints for as little as Rs 3.5/-.
Not sure what percentage of people are still oriented towards photo prints in the digital era where in we have electronic revolution in not just capturing, but to store them for anytime viewing via electronic gizmos as well as web tools like flickr and picasa. I came across this ad banner to promote a cyber cafe. This person is using Yahoo! Messenger login screen to attract people. Can you be more creative?
