After Purple here arrives the Yellow! If you haven’t looked at my previous photo with purple flowers, go see it now 🙂 These photos with yellow flowers tree (Scientific name – Peltophorum Pterocarpum) in various angles as seen from our terrace. Again, these pics were shot with Canon Powershot SD 630 point and shoot camera.

I have been reminded by a couple of readers that no updates from my small garden off late… Do wait for another 2 days to see the fresh stock 🙂
wow!! Fantastic pic.
Yes..its really refreshing to see those green treetops with vibrant colored flowers.
lovely… in my side of bangalore i can just see concrete walls every where 🙁
Then yours is the ‘MOST’ developed surrounding in Bengaluru 😀
Two of the same trees are there right in front of my balcony! They look awesome when full of yellow flowers 🙂 Nice shots!
Lucky you! Thanks Kcalpesh!
Wow! I envy you.. And I miss Bangalore all the more.. We had a similar view from my window.. And there was a dash of red Gulmohars too.. It was beautiful!
Oh yeah.. Gulmohars there in plenty too around.. i think the season hasn’t started for them yet.
Ahhh..if it is the daffodils here, its yellow in another form there…:) Bangalore always looked pretty when there were so many of these trees especially alongside Indiranagar’s 100ft road where I used to live..Wonder if like many other parts, trees there have also been felled now…
Well, Indiranagar main road still has all the trees intact till this point of time. But other parts of the city are not so fortunate!
Very nice pics! Often , something that looks pretty to the eye , doesn’t come out so well in a photograph–That is not the case here 😀
Thank you Monishikha!

Beautiful! And why not… it is the spring season afterall!!
But wonder how long will these lush green trees last… given the rapid pace of “development”… the first and last mantra of which seems to be – “murder trees”.
They do not leave the parks even. Quite a few trees will be chopped down to make way for a “martyr’s memorial”… within a park.
I’m sure our martyrs would want our country to be secured from external and internal threats… rather than a “memorial” in their name by murdering/matyring trees.
Thanks Roshmi! I can’t agree more on the way we are destroying or letting someone to destroy the ecosystem we have around us. I read that story about Martyr’s Memorial… Seriously, people have to think about it on a progressive note.
Beautiful pictures Mohan… btw hate the heat that this season brings along with it… 🙁
Thanks Tavish… yeah, it is becoming unbearable off late!
Wow..these are from your garden!!! Lovely.. full of cheer 🙂 Will be back in 2 days.
No dear! It is a view from my terrace. Those views are that of trees on the road which is visible from our root top. Sure.. I will not disappoint you folks for sure this time… it is a feast for eyes!
Lovely yellow flowers, Mohan…It reminds me of ‘Konna Poovu’ in Malayalam…It is a symbol of prosperity for the people of Kerala and is usually associated with ‘Vishu’, our New Year’s day…The beautiful yellow bunches of Konna Poovu are an indispensable component of ‘Vishukkani’ – the auspicious first sight ( the first thing to see ) on the new year’s day break…!!!!
It is Vishu on the 14th of April, and here’s me wishing myself, Mohan and all of you here, a very Happy and a Prosperous Vishu…!!!! 🙂
Thank you! Good to know about ‘Konna Poovu’ and the story associated with that flower. Thanks for sharing that info and your wishes. We all wish you and your family for a happy and prosperous vishu too 🙂
yea, spring here i think… i remember abt a month ago.. when all the leaves were falling off the tree… now it is much better… wth all different colors all around the city……
I remember you complaining that your part of the city is full of fallen leaves and dark grey/brown color instead of all those colorful flowers 🙂
Oh my dear Bengaluru!!!
Mohan, can we get some ‘real’ fresh stock along with the photos too 😛 😛
Sure, why not! Be my guest 🙂
