All those people who have been asking me about what is new in my little roof top garden, here is an update with photos! See it yourself and feel the freshness of home grown ‘mint’ aka Pudīna in many Indian languages. The strong aroma of these leaves upon sprinkling water is a must experience that everyone should try. Oh yeah, I am talking about the mint herb plant, not the ones that have been cut off from the soil. Mint has its own significance of using it in culinary, medicines, cosmetics and insecticides. For more detailed usage of Mint, see this wikipedia article. I just love the ‘masala vada’ flavored with mint! Not to mention, I can live on Pudina chutney with rice for days together!
Now that you have looked closer enough, let me show you how much of mint I have grown… :)
Feast for eyes with pleasing green? I am also thinking of giving away about half a dozen of Aloe Vera saplings for my blog readers to spread the green love. Due to logistic reasons, I may not be able to send it outside Bangalore. Still in the nascent planning stage to give away those plants in next IndiBlogger meet. I haven’t made up my mind yet on how to conduct a give away contest and choose the winners… Any suggestions?
